Mark Morgan promoted to executive vice president and chief revenue officer; David Rye appointed senior vice president, strategy and corporate development
JDA Software Group, Inc. today announced two changes to its executive leadership team. Mark Morgan has been promoted to executive vice president and chief revenue officer, responsible for the company’s global sales organization. This change comes as Razat Gaurav, who has held the same responsibility since October 2015, leaves the company to pursue other opportunities. In addition, JDA has appointed David Rye to the newly created role of senior vice president of strategy and corporate development, responsible for shaping JDA’s corporate strategy around its portfolio, services, cloud and go-to-market approach.
Morgan most recently served as senior vice president of sales for JDA’s North American operations. Prior to that, he served as regional vice president of sales for the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa operations and as vice president leading the JDA’s North American manufacturing sales organization. Morgan served in a variety of presales, sales and consulting roles at i2 Technologies from 1999 until the company’s acquisition by JDA in 2010. Prior to joining i2, he worked in consulting at Manugistics (eventually acquired by JDA) and had multiple roles within supply chain at Ford Motor Company. Morgan holds a bachelor of science degree in logistics management from Michigan State University and an MBA in finance from University of Detroit Mercy.
“Mark has excelled in leading our field organizations in both domestic and international markets. He is a consummate customer advocate, brings deep supply chain domain expertise, builds strong teams and collaborates across the organization—all key ingredients to be able to effectively lead our global sales organization,” said Girish Rishi, JDA chief executive officer. “I am also grateful for the contributions Razat has made to JDA, and previously i2, through the many years he’s been a part of the company. He has been a passionate leader, contributing to the positive momentum of the business.”
Rye joined JDA in April 2017. From 2007 to 2016, he was with Informatica Corporation, where he served as senior vice president of corporate development responsible for strategy, corporate and business development, strategic investments, and operational transformation initiatives. Rye played a pivotal role in helping drive Informatica’s revenue growth from $390 million to $1.1 billion. Rye helped drive the company’s organic growth strategies coupled with the acquisition and integration of numerous companies. Prior to spending nine years in the software industry at Informatica and Hyperion Solutions, Rye spent over five years as a private equity investor at Thayer Capital Partners and Atlas Venture. Rye began his career in investment banking at Robertson Stephens & Co. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in Economics from Princeton and a master of business administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
“The enterprise software space and the supply chain market are both in a state of enormous change as product innovations, unique services offerings and new business models emerge,” continued Rishi. “In order to continually raise our game, strategically align with our stakeholders and deliver the most compelling set of solutions in the marketplace, we are bringing on David Rye to lead our strategy and corporate development initiatives. JDA will benefit from David’s experiences in the enterprise software industry and his proven approach toward strategy that creates enormous value, as he collaborates with both external and internal partners.”
