JDA Recognized as a Leader by Two Independent Research Firms for Retail Planning
JDA Retail Planning solutions including Retail.me recognized for ability to execute and completeness of vision; JDA Retail.me breaks down silos to deliver transformational results for retailers
Today’s consumers are as demanding and powerful as ever when it comes to their shopping preferences, from personalized offers to discounted fulfillment options and an overall consistent experience, whether online or in-store. The cloud- and SaaS-based JDA Retail.me addresses many of these challenges by enabling retail planners to visually plan their stores based on consumers’ actual buying behaviors, guided by big data intelligence. And today, JDA Software Group, Inc. is being recognized by two leading independent analyst firms for its JDA Retail.me applications.
JDA named a Leader for retail planning by Forrester Research
The Forrester Wave™: Retail Planning, Q3 2017 report names JDA a Leader in retail planning: “[JDA] shows impressive capabilities in inventory planning, scalability, and allocation on the basis of scientifically modelled customer segment behavior and machine learning. The company exhibited a strong strategy, standing out for its vision and execution road map that offers a compelling blueprint for customer-centric planning…The solution is particularly suited to retailers that look to develop assortments with synchronized marketing, merchandising, and inventory plans, based on statistically derived customer segmentation.”
JDA’s Retail Planning solutions include JDA Retail.me which reinvents retail planning from the ground up, replacing clunky, complex spreadsheets with simple, highly visual, online shopping-like workspaces that enable users to think like their customers shop as they’re planning. JDA Retail.me Assortment Planning introduced in 2016, enables planners to align product selection with customer preferences, while maximizing sales, margin and inventory productivity by aligning purchase plans, ranging and inventory placement with expected local demand through intelligent, data science scoring.
JDA positioned as a Leader in “Gartner Magic Quadrant for Retail Assortment Management Applications (RAMA)”
In the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Retail Assortment Management Applications Leaders’ Quadrant, JDA has again been placed the furthest along the completeness of vision axis. Published on September 28, 2017, Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Retail Assortment Management Applications report positions vendors within one of four quadrants based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute.
JDA believes it was named as a vendor in the Leaders Quadrant for completeness of vision because of its unique ability to help companies capitalize on the digital transformation affecting today’s supply chain with the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and advanced analytics.
With this most recent Gartner Magic Quadrant for Retail Assortment Management Applications (RAMA) recognition, JDA is the only company named a leader in all five Gartner Magic Quadrants covering supply chain and retail merchandising solutions, inclusive of the “Magic Quadrant for Supply Chain Planning System of Record (SCP SOR)” January 19, 2016, “Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems (TMS)” March 19, 2017, “Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)”February 13, 2017, and the May 1, 2017 “Magic Quadrant for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Systems of Differentiation (SOD).”
“We have entered a new retail paradigm as the digital transformation continues to put the power in the hands of the consumer when it comes to their shopping preferences and buying habits,” said Badri Krishnamachari, vice president, solutions strategy, JDA. “We believe our industry recognition validates our innovative approach to retail planning that leverages low touch, data science intelligence, underscored by the highly responsive and flexible Google Cloud Platform.”
