JDA Announces 2017 Real Results Award Winners for Best Achievements in Supply Chain Transformations
Winners include global, leading brands such as Monsanto, L.L.Bean, Bosch, SodaStream, Americold, and others
JDA Software Group, Inc. today announced the winners of the 11th annual JDA Real Results Awards. This year’s winners were honored at JDA FOCUS 2017, JDA’s annual global customer conference this week in Las Vegas.
The 2017 Real Results Award winners were selected from among JDA’s more than 4,000 global customers and represent companies that have the best success stories in six categories: Best Results (winners by region for North America, APAC, EMEA, and Latin America), Best Collaboration, Best Cost Savings, Best Partner Project, Best Time to Value, and Best Innovation.

The 2017 Real Results Award winners have achieved industry-leading results and transformational benefits through the deployment of JDA’s innovative and proven end-to-end solutions and services. The 2017 Real Results Award winners are:
L.L.Bean – Best Collaboration
American apparel and outdoor retailer L.L.Bean has used JDA solutions for allocation, demand and fulfillment with tremendous success, improving collaboration throughout its internal teams and with their finished goods vendors for more efficient supply chain management. With JDA, L.L.Bean has improved forecast accuracy at the item/color/week/channel level by 500 basis points and reduced receipts by 10 percent while improving service levels. It has also reduced ending inventory by 7 percent from 2014 to 2016 despite softness in sales, increased serviceable demand by 500 basis points and improved store fill rates by 1000 basis points from 2015 to 2016.
Supermercados Peruanos – Best Cost Savings
Supermercados Peruanos, the largest supermarket and hypermarket chain in Peru, has realized impressive cost savings utilizing JDA’s store and warehouse replenishment solutions. The company reduced stock outs levels by 60 percent, achieved a 94 percent success rate when launching promotions, reduced inventory by 12 percent, improved inventory accuracy between 60-80 percent, increased productivity by 12 percent, order accuracy by 25 percent and speed-to-market by 10 percent. It has also increased EBITDA by 10 percent and improved its overall market share by three percent in recent years.
Norwex and Open Sky Group – Best Partner Project
JDA partner Open Sky Group and Norwex, a provider of chemical-free home care products, worked together on realizing real results for Norwex using JDA’s warehouse and warehouse labor management solutions. The implementation of JDA Warehouse Management two months ahead of schedule reaped impressive results, including: visible gains in labor by almost 30 percent in the first 60 days, reduction in the number of lifts needed from six to three per shift, a 40 percent gain in efficiency over the past three months, and a nearly 15 percent reduction in overall inventory footprint.
Americold – Best Time to Value
Americold, the global leader in temperature-controlled supply chain solutions, has deployed JDA’s warehouse management and warehouse labor management solutions across more than 85 sites, making it a solid contributor to the Americold Operating System. As a result, Americold now has the ability to track key operations talent and retain high performing associates – attributes that are key to a facility’s operational excellence. The implementation has supported commendable growth year-over-year.
Toys“R”Us – Best Innovation
Toys“R”Us, Inc., the world’s leading dedicated toy and baby products retailer, worked with JDA to co-develop a product enhancement specific to pegboard capabilities within JDA Planogram Generator, which was incorporated into the latest product release for use by all customers. The company is a key beneficiary of the innovation; the majority of the Toys”R”Us in-store items, whether they are positioned on a shelf or hang on a pegboard, allow them to stay current and relevant with adjustments to action lists and encourage cross-functional key compliance.
Monsanto – Best Results – North America
Monsanto, a sustainable agriculture company that delivers products to support farmers around the world, implemented JDA’s transportation solutions to make a positive impact on the environment and its bottom line. Monsanto reaped impressive results around the globe. In Brazil alone, the company realized 3-4 percent savings on freight spend, and removed 1.4 million miles and 2,500 tons of carbon emissions from its customer delivery routes due to better carrier selection and route optimization. Overall, it also reduced time to conduct bid analysis, modernized logistics operations, and reduced its carbon footprint globally.
Sanitarium Health & Wellbeing Company – Best Results – APAC
Australian health food leader, Sanitarium Health & Wellbeing has leveraged JDA’s order promising solution to enable greater forward visibility to proactively manage supply and deployment challengers, resulting in increased collaboration and customer service levels. This has led to revenue growth and higher customer satisfaction. Working with JDA’s various solutions including JDA Order Promiser, Sanitarium has realized cost savings due to their ability to reduce on-hand inventory by two days.
SodaStream – Best Results – EMEA
SodaStream International Ltd., the world’s leading manufacturer of home beverage carbonation systems, deployed JDA’s warehouse management solution, working with local partner eWave Mobile to realize impressive benefits. The company moved from multiple warehouses to one logistics center, improving fulfillment times by 25-30 percent. SodaStream also achieved $28 million in inventory reduction, increased shelf productivity-in-stock by 30 percent, increased service levels to more than 100 percent and realized 50 percent savings in labor costs.
Bosch – Best Results – Latin America
Bosch, a leading global provider of technology and services across a wide range of industries, used JDA’s warehouse management solution to revolutionize its low tech logistics processes at its Robert Bosch Mexico Distribution Center. Working with JDA partner NetLogistiK, Bosch now has a warehouse system that provides key decision-makers high visibility of current performance and future workload. The new system has reduced costs by 16 percent, improved space utilization by more than 85 percent, increased sales by 20 percent for each of its five business units, improved inventory accuracy by four percent and productivity by three percent.
