Leading Latin American logistics provider selects JDA Warehouse Management to capitalize on growth
JDA Software Group, Inc. today announced that leading Mexican logistics services provider Solistica, S.A. de C.V. has selected JDA® Warehouse Management, JDA® Warehouse Labor Management, and JDA® Transportation Modeler solutions to standardize its warehouse operations as it continues to grow as a third-party logistics provider (3PL). Solistica will leverage JDA Cloud and JDA Professional Services for this deployment. JDA’s strategic partner, Goldco, provides support throughout the FEMSA Group.
Solistica, through its companies Expresso Jundiaí, Atlas Transporte e Logistica, Zimag, Open Market and Tek Mechanics, is the largest integrated logistics solutions provider in Latin America with operations in Mexico, Panama, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, Peru and the United States. With more than 21,000 employees, Solistica owns more than 60 operating centers; 50 warehouses; 70 cross-docks; 5,700 vehicles and 4,300 trailers in their fleet, as well as almost 300 workshops in Latin America. Solistica strives to generate value through its logistics and transportation services to fully satisfy the needs of its clients, following a well-defined strategy that consists of providing integral planning of logistics systems for managing the supply chain.
Solistica was seeking to standardize its entire warehouse operations across Latin America including labor management. The company selected JDA Warehouse Management and JDA Warehouse Labor Management to manage its inventories with precision and traceability, optimize the use of physical space while increasing labor productivity and operational throughput, and provide complete operational visibility. JDA Warehouse Labor Management will help Solistica improve labor performance accountability resulting in a more performance-focused culture that delivers a significant competitive advantage. The first phase of the implementation project includes Mexico and Colombia.
Solistica’s main objective is to continue to be the market leader in integral 3PL services in Latin America with a presence in the United States. With JDA solutions, the company will be able to align their processes through more efficient use of staffing resources, and to capitalize on the commercial opportunities at the regional level, with complete control and visibility across all operations.
“Incorporating JDA Warehouse Management in a JDA Cloud environment into our portfolio directly supports the strategy of growth and execution of warehousing services offered by Solistica. Implementing JDA Warehouse Management and JDA Warehouse Labor Management will strengthen our industry-specific specialized solutions, support impeccable execution of our processes with continuous improvement and provide a technological platform that contributes to innovation,” said Néstor del Río Galván, director of logistics solutions, Solistica.
“We are pleased that Solistica has chosen JDA to ensure its leadership position in the Latin American market,” said Antonio Boccalandro, regional vice president, Latin America sales, JDA. “JDA has deeply rooted expertise in warehouse management working with some of the most complex warehouse environments in the world, and we agree that strategic initiatives like value-added warehouse services are the most efficient way to place a company far above its competitors.”
