Honored for the second year in a row by azcentral.com for superior workplace culture, associate satisfaction and overall workforce engagement
JDA Software, Inc., today announced it has again been named to the azcentral.com Top Companies to Work for in Arizona listing for the second consecutive year. JDA is committed to its core values that drive relentless learning and innovation with the highest level of business ethics. This, and its commitment to developing all associates to realize their full potential, has contributed to JDA’s consistent growth and profitability while attracting and retaining top talent.
“We are proud to once again be recognized in Arizona as a top company to work for,” said Girish Rishi, chief executive officer (CEO), JDA. “As we continue to attract and hire top digital talent, it is important that our culture shines through in everything that we do. Now more than ever, JDA associates live and breathe our culture and are as obsessed with our core values as I am. This is what sets JDA apart from other companies.”
JDA’s core values of Results, Relentless and Teamwork serve as the bedrock of the company, working to unite and engage associates and executives alike. These core values are also what drives success, profitability and growth for the company as well as results for its more than 4,000 customers. Since the introduction of these new core values in 2017, JDA has seen a meaningful shift as the values provide inspiration, unite associates and are used as a compass for decision-making.
JDA is headquartered in Scottsdale and counts 700 leaders and executives and 400+ associates locally in Arizona. JDA has been focused on hiring approximately 100 data scientists, software engineers, product managers and other professionals focused on innovation and embracing digital technologies. This includes JDA’s Scottsdale office, including its new 13,200 square foot JDA Customer Experience Center (JXC), which was inaugurated in May by the Governor of Arizona.
JDA prides itself on driving commitment to learning and innovation, while fostering teamwork as a critical component to success. JDA encourages associates’ success as the heart of the company, with a focus on developing all associates to realize their full potential. For example, all associates are encouraged to take one day of paid volunteer time off each year to serve at a charity of their choice within the local community, as JDA recognizes that participating in these activities will enrich and inspire the lives of its associates. JDA also has a keen focus on developing high-potential women, with its “Winning Leadership” program, which highlights JDA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. As a result, JDA’s engagement scores among its associates are at an all-time high with average associate tenure is in the 10+ year range, best in class for a major technology company.
“This year the decision was made to expand the list to 125 as a result of very high employee survey scores averaging 90 percent favorable score for overall survey results and an impressive 92 percent favorable measuring employee engagement. This level of performance for Arizona companies is about three times the national average when compared to Gallup’s recent reporting of U.S. engagement at about 33 percent favorable,” said Denise Gredler, founder and CEO for BestCompaniesAZ, program consulting partner. “These winners should be very proud of their engaged workforces for this presents a powerful opportunity to attract and retain the very best talent.”
The highly selective ‘Top Companies’ list is the result of anonymous and comprehensive employee surveys measuring culture, work environment, leadership, and employee pride and satisfaction, combined with rigorous evaluations of workplace practices, policies, perks and demographics. Winners were honored today at an awards breakfast reception at the Scottsdale Fairmount Princess, and will be published in a special supplement in the July 10, 2018 issue of The Arizona Republic, as well as online at topcompanies.azcentral.com and www.BestCompaniesAZ.com.
