JDA Showcases ‘The Future of Retail is Now’ at NRF Retail’s BIG Show 2018
JDA highlights the future through its retail innovation theater, next generation augmented reality tour and transformative customer showcase experiences featuring L.L.Bean and PetSmart
Disruptive forces are reshaping the future of retail, including the advancement of edge technologies, generational shifts among shoppers and exponential increases in digital commerce. Leading retailers are transforming their business models to serve the needs of the modern shopper. With this in mind, JDA Software Group, Inc. will showcase the future of retail as well as new strategies to evolve ahead of future disruptions at booth #2817 at the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) 107th annual Retail’s BIG Show, January 14-16 in New York City.
“The year ahead for retailers will be both challenging and exciting. The rapid increases in digital commerce are enabling retailers to better know and serve a new shopper model. Retailers also need to address the increasing demands for immediacy, combined with a great experience, and this is driving them to implement new technologies to reach shoppers in every channel,” said Terry Turner, president, North America Retail, JDA. “It is more important than ever for retailers to be armed with innovative solutions and changing practices for creating seamless and symbiotic brand and shopping experiences. This is what we are doing with many of our customers now, and what we will be sharing at NRF this year.”
JDA’s theme for NRF 2018 – “Expectations. Fulfilled.” – reflects JDA’s commitment to fulfilling customer expectations wherever, whenever and whatever the purchase. This year’s showcase reflects JDA’s unique capabilities: shortening customers’ supply chains from end-to-end, and speeding time to market while enabling retailers to better anticipate and fulfill customer expectations. JDA will showcase its Intelligent Retail solutions spanning retail planning, execution and fulfillment, as well as the in-store experience.
In JDA’s booth #2817, attendees will experience JDA’s vision of the future of retail in a number of ways:
- Retail innovation theater: Attendees will take part in more than a dozen 20-minute sessions focused on how JDA, customers and partners – including Google, Intel, Accenture and dunnhumby – are delivering the future of retail, now.
- Transformative customer showcases: Attendees can engage with two of JDA’s most successful retail customers – L.L.Bean and PetSmart – and learn how JDA is transforming their customers’ experiences
- Next generation interactive booth experiences: Attendees can experience in-booth augmented reality tours of the store of the future
- Experience interactive demos that deliver a cognitive retail environment from planning to delivery:
- Intelligent Planning – Learn how to create customer-centric business strategies and build 360° engagement plans, delivering actionable customer insights
- Intelligent Store – Learn how JDA is bringing IoT to the store via JDA Store Optimizer, which can help maximize inventory flow, improve operational efficiency and drive higher margins and revenue
- Intelligent Fulfillment – Get an end-to-end, real-time view of the supply chain which helps retailers achieve greater levels of profitability
- Intelligent Edge – Meet JDA’s Digital Control Tower which helps customers predict and prevent supply chain issues before they occur
“Our booth is an opportunity for NRF attendees to get a complete store experience, from ‘personalized everything’ to cutting-edge technological advancements that incorporate data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning,” Turner said. “We’re also showing concrete examples of these strategies in action, so attendees come away armed with the information they need to overhaul their supply chain strategies and exceed customer expectations in the year ahead.”
Latest Industry Survey and POVs available in JDA’s Booth
JDA will also reveal key findings of the newly completed “Retail Disruptors Survey” in conjunction with Retail Systems Research (RSR) during a presentation at the JDA booth on Tuesday, January 16 from 10:00-10:20 a.m. Nikki Baird, managing partner at RSR, and JoAnn Martin, vice president of retail industry strategy at JDA, will preview the survey findings, which will be officially announced the following week.
In addition, JDA’s new retail point of view white paper will reveal where retail is headed and recommended actions to compete and thrive. JDA will also have copies of its “Digital Supply Chain for Dummies” book available for attendees.
NRF, Retail’s BIG Show – the flagship event of the National Retail Federation – is being held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, and is expected to draw more than 35,000 attendees from the international retail community. Keynote speakers include Chobani, Facebook and Li & Fung; as well as Arianna Huffington, founder of both The Huffington Post and Thrive Global.
