Elected officers charged with leading and growing JDA Special Interest Groups of more than 4,000 members across 1,300 companies and more than 40 solution areas

JDA Software, Inc., today announced it has elected its Users Group Officers for 2018. The JDA Users Group manages the JDA Special Interest Groups (SIGs), whose goal is to increase customer engagement and be a conduit for elevating the voice of customers. The JDA SIGs are designed for customers and driven by customers, with a unified voice being a powerful tool. Active SIG participation maximizes customers’ investment in JDA solutions and enables members to grow both personally and professionally through collaboration with other retail and supply chain professionals.

Suzanne Toepfer, director of merchandise systems at Chico’s, FAS Inc., continues on in her role as JDA SIG president and remarks: “After 13 years with the Special Interest Groups, I continue to be energized by the progress I see within JDA and across the SIG communities. JDA and the new senior leadership team led by CEO Girish Rishi, has focused on culture and talent while also recognizing that the customer voice is more than just an annual survey. Customers have a lot to say that, if you’re listening, can help crystalize direction for a sustainable future, and JDA listens.”

JDA congratulates its Users Group Officers, who include:

  • JDA Users Group President: Suzanne Toepfer, Chico’s FAS Inc.: Suzanne is the director of merchandise systems at Chico’s, FAS Inc. and guides the enterprise systems responsible for merchandising, allocation, and merchandise planning across stores, e-commerce and outlet channels. Suzanne has used JDA solutions for over 13 years and is an active member of the Allocation and Enterprise Planning SIGs.
  • JDA Users Group Vice Presidents:
    • Denise Sabo, Ralph Lauren Corporation: Denise is the senior manager of planning systems at Ralph Lauren. Denise has used JDA solutions for more than 20 years and is an active member of the Enterprise Planning SIG in addition to serving as the Enterprise Planning SIG Chair.
    • Randy Buffon, Hibbett Sports: Randy is the vice president of inventory management for Hibbett Sports.Randy has used JDA solutions for over 20 years and is an active member of the Advanced Store Replenishment, Advanced Warehouse Replenishment and Allocation SIGs.
    • Paul Longshaw, Iceland Food Ltd: Paul is a project and account manager for supply chain at Iceland Foods Ltd.Paul has used JDA solutions for 21 years and is an active member of the Advanced Store Replenishment and Advanced Warehouse Replenishment SIGs in addition to serving as the EMEA SIG Chair for both of those SIGs for over 8 years.
  • JDA Users Group Administrative Director: Jonathan Mayes, Waitrose: Jonathan is a supply chain IT manager for Waitrose Ltd.Jonathan has been with Waitrose for 17 years – most of that within the supply chain area in both warehouse management and product supply using both JDA products and third-party software providers.Jonathan is an active member of the Dispatcher WMS and WLM SIGs and also serves as the Dispatcher WMS SIG chair.

“Over the years, I have had an opportunity to watch many of our talented customers participate in JDA’s SIGs, take leadership roles in becoming the voice of the customer for JDA, and grow tremendously in terms of knowledge and confidence in their roles,” said Puneet Saxena, group vice president, supply chain planning, JDA. “It is extremely gratifying to see our active SIG participants grow in their careers as they continue to drive transformational supply chain improvements at their companies on the one hand, and utilize SIG forums effectively to guide JDA solutions on the other.”

SIG elections are held every two years with voting by all SIG members for elected positions. The role of the Users Group officers is to oversee the more than 40 SIGs across a range of solutions. Each SIG is managed by a chairperson, and a JDA associate who serves as SIG manager. The SIG officers are responsible for managing the SIGs, conducting regular meetings to discuss and update SIG goals and quarterly meetings with SIG chairs and SIG managers to review goals and network in order to ensure SIG members gain the most value from their JDA investment.

JDA holds a variety of monthly SIG meetings that enable JDA software users to share their best practices and lessons learned. SIG groups create an environment of continuous learning in which JDA customers can maximize their investments in JDA solutions. SIG members also have the opportunity to provide vital feedback to JDA and are often the first to learn of planned software enhancements and product direction.
