JDA Positioned the Furthest for Vision as a Leader in Latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales and Operations Planning Systems of Differentiation
JDA again named a leader and positioned furthest ahead for completeness of vision; powers the always-on supply chain with S&OP and Integrated Business Planning
JDA Software Group, Inc. today announced that it has once again been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the “Leaders” quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Systems of Differentiation (SOD) 1.” JDA believes it continues to be positioned as a Leader based on its market-leading S&OP offering as part of the JDA® Manufacturing Planning solution. JDA continues to be the only company named a leader in all five Gartner Magic Quadrants for supply chain and retail merchandising solutions2.
Gartner’s Magic Quadrant reports position vendors within a particular quadrant based on their completeness of vision and their ability to execute. In the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales and Operations Planning Systems of Differentiation, JDA has been positioned furthest in completeness of vision in the Leaders quadrant.
“Over the past couple of years, we have made significant advancements in our S&OP capabilities as companies invest in digitalizing their supply chains. Today’s manufacturers and distributors need to tap into big data, real-time analytics and in-memory technology as they revitalize their processes and create competitive advantage through always-on supply chains,” said Puneet Saxena, vice president, solutions strategy, JDA. “As the world’s largest best-of-breed supply chain software provider, we are pleased to be positioned as a leader by Gartner yet again, particularly in completeness of vision, as we help our customers leverage technology advancements to reimagine S&OP processes and power their digital supply chain journeys.”
Gartner defines five Maturity Stages for S&OP including Stage 5: Orchestrate1: According to Gartner analyst Tim Payne “…the ultimate goal of S&OP is to help reach coordinated horizontally and vertically aligned and synchronized networkwide decisions to create value across the complete planning horizon. There is more emphasis on long-term strategic plans and full alignment between innovation and operational decision making. S&OP supports the company’s growth plans, expressed in higher percentages of successful service innovations, product commercialization and improved speed to market.”
JDA recently announced innovative new capabilities in JDA Manufacturing Planning including intelligent and prescriptive demand-supply planning, real-time and collaborative cross-functional scenario analyses, and an innovative in-memory foundation for an always-on supply chain. These capabilities allow manufacturers to proactively plan risk-aware strategies, optimize business performance, and respond to disruptive events with unparalleled speed and intelligence. JDA’s industry-leading Manufacturing Planning solution offers a seamless experience on a single platform, spanning diverse supply chain processes such as network design, sales and operations planning, demand, inventory and supply planning, order promising, production scheduling, procurement and cross-enterprise collaboration. JDA also announced expanded application of partner TransVoyant’s technology across JDA Manufacturing Planning, employing advanced analytics on real-time big data curated from sensors, radar, smartphones, satellites, GPS, video cameras, and other devices to produce live and predictive insights that transform supply chain performance.
In addition, JDA continues to showcase its thought leadership as the digital transformation continues, with the release of the “Digital Supply Chain For Dummies®, JDA Software Special Edition” which arms supply chain practitioners with how to build and capitalize on this digital transformation. From production to warehouse to shipping to retail, organizations need to use modern supply chain technology to revamp, revitalize and refine their processes in order to gain competitive advantage.
