JDA Named Best Workforce Management for Retail in Latest Nucleus Research WFM Value Matrix
JDA Workforce Management software scored the greatest level of usability in matrix report; identified as the best WFM vendor for retail environments
JDA Software, Inc., today announced that Nucleus Research has called out JDA® Workforce Management in the Facilitator Quadrant of the 2018 Nucleus Research Workforce Management Value Matrix as the solution best designed for retail environments. In a fast-paced unified commerce environment, it is critical for retailers to be able to predict, anticipate, and meet labor expectations with precision. Nucleus determined that JDA Workforce Management outpaces the competition in usability for these environments, where needs such as deep scheduling expertise, labor forecasting and tight integration with JDA and non-JDA sources come into play.
Of note, the Nucleus report noted that “a handful of Workforce Management (WFM)-only or HCM-only providers stand out as better than their peers. On the WFM side, they’re well above the horizontal axis, in this report’s Leader quadrant. However, any vendor that can bring deep scheduling informed by a broader view of the enterprise—namely in the omni-channel (i.e., digital marketplace)—is by design best positioned to deliver in retail. In Nucleus’s estimation, that vendor is JDA.” The report went on to say that “this year’s WFM Value Matrix reveals that legacy players Kronos and ADP have little brand equity left to mask their users’ mounting dissatisfaction.”
“It is clear that there is a changing of the guard in the workforce management space, where old, horizontal players and solutions are taking a backseat to those innovative companies who have purpose-built solutions for particular industries, as evidenced by this year’s Nucleus Workforce Management Value Matrix findings. We are proud to see our technology cited as having the greatest level of usability, and glad to see our progressive capabilities with JDA Workforce Management for Retail being recognized in this year’s Matrix,” said Jim Prewitt, group vice president, product management, JDA. “Our retail customers see our superior value in optimizing their workforce labor and their satisfaction is further validation that JDA Workforce Management offers the optimal mix of robust scheduling, long-range staffing, and advanced mobile capabilities, making it ideal for the toughest, most complex omnichannel retail environments around the globe.”
JDA Workforce Management uniquely provides retailers with advanced planning, budgeting and scheduling capabilities combined with role-based tools to enable managers to quickly react to everyday realities. This dual “plan for the future/manage in the moment” solution is backed by JDA’s decades of retail workforce management experience and collaboration with leading retailers around the world. With an intuitive user interface, employee self-service and mobility capabilities, JDA Workforce Management transforms retailers’ most strategic asset – its employees – into a strategic strength, while increasing employee engagement levels, satisfaction and retention. Furthermore, JDA Workforce Management is an integral part of a JDA’s end-to-end value proposition around optimizing supply chain and retail environments that helps retailers reduce costs, increase profitability and provide an outstanding customer experience.
“From speaking with customers using JDA Workforce Management, it became abundantly clear that JDA has delivered the right mix of innovation, functionality and deep expertise to stand out as exceptional for retail environments,” said Brent Skinner, principal analyst at Nucleus Research. “In our estimation, JDA Workforce Management is best positioned to deliver in retail, which is why we assess their usability so highly – the greatest level of it for any vendor in this year’s report.”
