JDA Named a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems
For the first time, JDA positioned furthest in completeness of vision; believes overall leadership positioning due to innovation such as real-time visibility and predictive analytics capabilities
JDA Software Group, Inc. today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the “Leaders” quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems1 (TMS).” JDA believes it has been recognized for key innovations introduced in 2016, including its real-time visibility strategy in partnership with FourKites, TransVoyant and INTTRA, as well as the new JDA Stratus for Transportation cloud offering extending JDA® Transportation Management capabilities to mid-market companies.
Gartner’s Magic Quadrant reports position vendors within a particular quadrant based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute. In the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems, JDA has been positioned second furthest for ability to execute and furthest in completeness of vision in the Leaders quadrant.
“JDA Transportation Management is used in some of the largest and most complex transportation operations around the globe enabling organizations to make smarter, more strategic shipping and delivery decisions by balancing internal capacities and constraints with customer promises,” said Fabrizio Brasca, vice president, solution strategy, Intelligent Fulfillment. “The powerful new capabilities we introduced this year, such as the ability to provide real-time predictive visibility puts us at the forefront of where the transportation industry is headed and we believe our positioning in the Leaders quadrant is further validation of our ongoing commitment to innovation.”
JDA Transportation Management solutions are part of JDA® Intelligent Fulfillment™, which delivers an integrated constraint-aware, cross-application environment to enable more profitable fulfillment for retailers, manufacturers, third-party logistics providers and wholesale distributors. JDA has also recently again been positioned by Gartner in the Leaders quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems2″ for 2017. JDA continues to be the only company named a leader in all five Gartner Magic Quadrants for supply chain and retail merchandising solutions3.
New enhancements introduced in 2016 to JDA Transportation Manager and JDA Transportation Planner include driver optimization and dispatch, relay planning and asset visibility. These give dispatch operations the ability to effectively manage drivers and their assignments more efficiently, while reducing transportation costs, improve asset utilization and reduce overtime needs. JDA also rolled out JDA Stratus for Transportation, a cloud-based offering providing an economical, flexible and template-based deployment scope, helping companies realize transportation savings quicker while still meeting customer delivery windows.
