Compañías Cervecerías Unidas To Optimize Evolving Supply Chain Operations With Blue Yonder
Leading beverage company will deploy Blue Yonder Warehouse Management solutions to streamline logistics and distribution processes
SANTIAGO, Chile, and DALLAS – Aug. 22, 2024 – The food and beverage industry continues to face a myriad of challenges, from maintaining compliance with strict quality, safety and environmental regulations to cost effectively achieving service levels. That’s why Compañías Cervecerías Unidas (CCU), a multi-category beverage company, will implement Blue Yonder Warehouse Management across 26 sites to digitally transform its supply chain operations and meet growing demands.
Founded in 1902, CCU is a diversified beverage company operating in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, and Uruguay. The company is involved in the production, sales and distribution of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, soft drinks, bottled water, and juices. With its current systems unable to keep up with the increasing complexity and scale of its supply chain, CCU turned to Blue Yonder to deploy a SaaS solution with the innovative features and integration capabilities needed to support its expanding operations.
With Blue Yonder, CCU will be able to:
- Gain end-to-end visibility and control to improve inventory management.
- Utilize real-time tracking to ensure compliance and increase accuracy, efficiency and speed.
- Optimize tasks to streamline operations, improve productivity and increase throughput.
- Lower its environmental impact by reducing waste and carbon emissions.
“Blue Yonder’s solutions are integral to our strategy for modernizing our supply chain operations,” said Matias Rojas, chief information officer, CCU. “The advanced functionalities and flexibility of their Warehouse Management solution will allow us to better manage our diverse product portfolio and streamline our logistics processes, ultimately enhancing our service to customers.”
“By leveraging Blue Yonder’s Warehouse Management, we are placing CCU at the forefront of world-class technology,” said Hans Castillo, Logistics Center of Excellence Director, CCU. “The solution allows us to increase efficiency in our logistics operations, improve picking processes, enhance product traceability and raise service levels for our customers.”
Blue Yonder Warehouse Management offers the most comprehensive optimization capabilities, allowing CCU to increase performance, improve customer service and reduce costs. By providing real-time visibility and synchronization across the entire supply chain, the SaaS solution will enable CCU to efficiently manage inventory levels, reduce waste and ensure timely delivery of products. CCU will also utilize Blue Yonder Warehouse Management to optimize the logistics and management of its returnable bottle system, enabling the beverage company to further support its global sustainability goals.
“Like many industries, beverage companies are facing increasing demand for efficiency, sustainability and resilience in supply chain operations,” said Terry Turner, president, Manufacturing, Blue Yonder. “Deploying Blue Yonder Warehouse Management will provide CCU with the flexibility, intelligence and responsiveness to overcome these complexities while continuing to meet evolving customer and market demands.”
