Abastecedora Lumen Revitalizes its Space and Category Management Processes with JDA
Leading Mexican stationary retailer implements JDA Category Management solutions for more consumer-centric digitalized processes
JDA Software Group, Inc., today announced that Abastecedora Lumen, a leading Mexican stationary retailer, has selected JDA® Category Management solutions to replace its outdated software and revitalize its floor planning and planogram generation processes for today’s digital supply chain.
Abastecedora Lumen is a Mexican stationary company focused on the graphic arts industry. The company started 74 years ago as a family business and now has 50 stores today with a presence in nine Mexican states. Abastecedora Lumen handles more than 20,000 products in its stores.
The company sought to replace its outdated solution to expertly manage its shelf space according to sales profits and consumer purchase behaviors, driving down inventory levels. Abastecedora Lumen needed to quickly provide information about each of its 50 stores and determine inventory needs, while managing dynamic variables, and create detailed reports for replenishment purposes.
The company is implementing JDA® Space Planning Plus, JDA® Floor Planning Plus and JDA® Planogram Generator. Leveraging JDA Space Planning Plus, Abastecedora Lumen can create more profitable space plans based on real-world consumer needs and behaviors. Using JDA Floor Planning Plus, the company can plan localized assortments for stores based specifically on the needs and purchasing habits of each store. In addition, JDA Planogram Generator automatically generates optimized and store-specific planograms that consider the variation of properties, assortments and performance data.
